Her associate (@orosolax) contacted us about an amazing cosplayer who deserved some recognition – here is her story.
Aya (Aka @KillerBuuny) has been cosplaying for 4 years and considers herself a hobbyist who can sew, play games, do makeup and loves to watch anime/Korean tv shows in her spare time.
The first cosplay she ever took on was Kuroko from Kuroko no basket anime.
Aya struggles with being recognized out of cosplay – a feeling most cosplayers know all too well.
She has been lucky enough to make a ton of friends in the local cosplay scene but she confesses “My husband will always be my all-time cosplay best friend”
Cosplaying is a hobby which transcends borders, culture and ethnicities. One of the biggest changes for Aya came about in her personal life and how she became more accepting and open to other cultures after becoming a cosplayer.
“Lara Croft is the one cosplay which has alluded me for the longest time. I still intend on doing her one day”
Gushes Aya while simultaneously thinking about the next question – she takes a moment then exclaims “Japan for sure, I’d love to cosplay in Japan someday”
Final piece of advice to other cosplayers?
“Pay attention to the smallest details”
