What we are

Cosplay Arabia magazine is the Middle East’s first and only magazine dedicated to cosplay & pop culture highlighting cosplayers of all skill levels & ages residing in the region. Founded in December 2018, Cosplay Arabia is focused on being a platform founded on principles of diversity, understanding, team work & creativity. We comprise of a small team with big dreams and work with several contributors, groups, clubs, photographers and writers from the GCC to bring you the absolute best and most exciting mix of cosplay, art and content from creators all over.

Humble Beginnings

Cosplay Arabia was created by Ibrahim Ansari and Haneen Al Farwan in November 2018 after attending Animania Bahrain. Ibrahim is a civil engineer & professional photographer with publications in various newspapers / magazines including Ciin Magazine, a videographer & writer having contributed to the Saudi Gazette & Arab News. Haneen Al Farwan, a business graduate – handles the schedule, photoshoots, features and provides the creative direction of the Magazine. The 1st issue had cosplayer Anya Dogari feature on the cover from a photoshoot conducted in a simple home studio. Since then Cosplay Arabia has worked with several photographers, cosplayers, writers, artists and event organizers to provide the absolute best content in the Middle East.

The Community

Cosplay Arabia was made by cosplayers for cosplayers! It wouldn’t exist without the amazing talents who come from diverse backgrounds united by their common love for cosplay. Cosplay Arabia works tirelessly to provide solutions and services for the cosplay community while also providing a voice & platform to showcase their cosplays. Starting March 2020, cosplay Arabia website is featuring a cosplayer every month who is working hard on their cosplay and is relatively new to the genre in an effort to connect the community even further and shinning a spotlight on new creatives.

We love hearing from our readers. Submissions are always open and feedback is welcome, either through the web or in person at one of the many events we will be attending this year.

You can submit cosplay and convention photos, or ideas for DIY tutorials, projects, or articles. We would love to hear from you!
